Fontan Update #3: Trains!

We just received another update. The surgery is continuing and Ayden continues to do just fine. They said we might hear from them in another hour or so. I'm thinking that might be the one that tells us the surgeon is done and they're starting the long process of closing up shop.

Ayden has become enamored with trains (he can say "train," but "choo choo" is what he almost always says). He likes to play with them and to watch shows like Thomas and Friends. He requests the latter by pointing to the TV and saying "choo choo." (He'll also ask to watch The Backyardigans by pointing and saying "Pablo," the character whose name he knows how to say his favorite character.)

Every now and then we'll set up his wooden train track for him. We bought him a small set, then adding some additional track. He now also has what is basically a travel case for the trains. The case has a small track cut into the outside of it, which can be set up and played with away from home (like the hospital). As you can see, sometimes he likes to sit on it and send his trains careening down the slope.
