Tonight, my plan was to come home, feed Ayden, give him his bath, put him to bed, then get a few posts done that I would set up to roll out over the next 24 hours. Unfortunately, after his bath, Ayden decided to try to breath (as opposed to swallow) part of his bedtime medicine. The ensuing gagging/coughing resulted in him throwing up all over himself (and the floor, and the chair), necessitating a second bath, me replacing several ounces of fluid via the tube, and him finally getting in the crib at 9:45.
Given all of that, plus not yet having the opportunity to eat some semblance of a dinner, I'm going to postpone the blogging until sometime tomorrow. I will pass along that Allison and Brogan are doing well. When I left the hospital this afternoon, she was much improved over when I left yesterday. And if anyone is curious, I had a very pleasant and productive conversation with the assistant nurse manager this afternoon regarding yesterday's issues.
And that's it for today. Now, I'm going to locate something quick to eat, drink the few beers left in the fridge, catch up on an episode or two of The Walking Dead, then cry myself to sleep.
(Just kidding on that last part. I may not be able to go to sleep.)
So glad you are all doing well and that baby Brogan is here and well! Wish we could come see you--Rosalie once again has a fever and we have been at home for two days. Hope to catch up with all of you soon and congrats!
