Cath Update #7: Bring on Dr. Fish!

Our second actual cath update came directly from Dr. Janssen.  In person.  Yes, Dr. Janssen is done with Ayden for today.  Based on what he told us, it sounds like everything is where it needs to be.  The pulmonary pressures are good.  The vessel sizes were good.  There were no little extra veins that needed to be dealt with.  There was no valve leakage (including the tricuspid valve, which has been leaking since Ayden's arrest).  Finally, his heart squeeze appeared to be normal.

(Disclaimer - These last two items can be somewhat subjective and/or a bit misleading during a cath: what seems "mildly depressed" to one doctor may be "normal" to another; the anesthesia administered for the procedure can decrease blood pressure a bit, which may hide otherwise present valve leakage and squeeze depression.  The counterpoint here is that I understand the readings from the catheter to be more reliable or accurate than those from an echo.  So, who knows?)

Regardless, Ayden passed with flying colors and now Dr. Fish has started his EP study.  I suppose if I were a betting man about this, I would've put my money on an issue popping up during this portion, so I'm still holding my breath a bit.  As we have chronicled in the past, arrhythmia issues seemed to be Ayden's Achilles heel.  Hopefully, no more.

And another picture, just because:
