The nurse also weighed Ayden. 5.35 kilos! He gained more than an ounce a day, which made up for the lack of weight gain from the previous week! Ayden no longer wears newborn diapers! He is officially a size 1!
Denise, the speech pathologist, also came to visit Ayden to see how he was progressing with the bottle. All of the silliness that he was doing with me at home (gumming the bottle, showing disinterest, etc.), he didn't do with her at all. He took 12ml and even gave her a smile. (He then did the same for me at home that afternoon-- took 12ml and smiled-- so that I didn't feel left out!) I appreciate all that Denise has done to encourage Ayden's feeding advancement; she really goes out of her way to care for our family!
I feel so blessed to have Ayden doing well at home!

Looooove,
Jessica Barnard, RN 6C :)
AYDEN!!! He is doing so well. I could not be more happy for him and y'all. I think about him and y'all every day, and miss his precious face so much. Denise brought the pictures you gave her in clinic to the floor, and I look at them all the time. On a sad note, my husband and I are moving from Nashville. So, Friday (aug. 13) is my last day on 6C =(. I would love to see Ayden and talk to you guys, if there is any way possible. My email address is annaf831@aol.com, if maybe you could email me so I will have your email address in my contacts. I will follow your blog religiously, like I always do! Give Ayden a kiss for me!
