Verdict: Chest Tube

They are supposed to put a chest tube in Ayden at 5PM. He hasn't eaten since 3AM, and he is being such a good baby. (If it were me, I would be the worst behaved patient! I'm already "one of those moms.")

Ayden is still requiring a tiny amount of oxygen (.075-.15 liters). Getting that fluid off with the chest tube should help to remove the need for oxygen.

Once the chest tube is in, we should learn whether or not Ayden is creating fluid; if he is, we will be asking new questions: Where is the fluid coming from? Why is he creating it?

Hopefully, he will just have the tube in a few days, and it will be a single, short incident.... and we can go home to recover from the hospital!
