Water Babies

We met Beka and Josh through an event with Young Lawyers Division several years ago, and we got along wonderfully. We live on opposite sides of the city, but we have always found occasion to see each other as often as possible.

Beka and Josh had their first child, Rosalie, not too long before Ayden was born. We have tried to get our families together several times since the children were born, but illness (as usual) kept us apart. Finally, the children were given the opportunity to play together at my aunt's pool.

The children got along well, and one of my favorite incidents was when Rosalie tried to hug Ayden, and he leaned away with the look that said, "What is she doing?" Ayden has never been a very touchy feely person, but he also has not had that sort of interaction with fellow peers. As the day progressed, he eventually allowed Rosalie to hold his hand. He he.

 

I think Brogan enjoyed the pool fun far more than he had in the past. He also thought Josh was pretty great. Ayden, on the other hand, favored Beka. Good times!
