Ayden enjoys being able to sit up. Since sitting up is not as much work as it used to be, he no longer throws himself backwards in protest. He has also discovered the usefulness of being the master of his own play. He can now locate toys and play with them or shove them away as he so desires. He has developed better reach and only occasionally loses balance in search for something.
Ayden's current favorite toy appears to be his cookie jar. He likes to pull the "cookies" out, just as he does with the toys in his toy boxes. He usually ends up surrounded by toys; he hasn't yet learned to put them back where they belong. He also enjoys knocking down the blocks that his daddy skillfully piles, and he has recently begun to play ball with me (i.e. we roll the ball back and forth to each other). Ayden also enjoys sharing his toys, but only temporarily; he expects you to give them back immediately following his handing them to you.
What a big boy! My kids LOVED that cookie jar!
