Thanksgiving 2013
Once upon a time, my mama and Aunt Sherry brought us Thanksgiving dinner in the hospital. Ayden ate sweet potatoes. Nurse Margaret took Ayden on a wagon ride. It was a pretty quiet holiday.
On this Thanksgiving, we got to spend it at Aunt Sherry's house. What a glorious racket! We are so blessed!

A Heart for Blake
Last night I received an 11:30 phone call from Blake's mother, Christie. My initial reaction was to panic, but she asked, "Why would I be calling you at 11:30 at night?"
BLAKE IS RECEIVING A HEART this morning. Please pray for Blake's family and the donor family. Updates can be read on his Caringbridge site: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/christiehuggins.

Prayers for Blake
PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR BUDDY, BLAKE:
This past weekend, Blake and his twin sister Lauren celebrated their
sixth birthday. The celebration was a sweet memory, and we are so
grateful for their precious lives.

We would appreciate your prayers for Blake and his family. In addition to his heart defect, Blake has a condition called PLE, or protein-losing enteropathy. Basically, Blake's body is unable to digest/absorb protein. Blake's body is struggling to thrive, and he is currently 1b status on the heart transplant list. His story can be found on his Caringbridge site: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/christiehuggins. This site is listed on the right hand site of our blog for easy reference.
